Coolest cars from the Paris Motor Show
From Jaguar to Porsche, automakers roll out their newest cars and concepts at Europe's biggest car show.
Jaguar marked its 75th anniversary with this range-extended electric sports car designed to hit speeds of up to 205 miles per hour. The car has four electric motors -- one at each wheel -- that produce up to 195 horsepower each. Total power output is 778 horsepower.
Unlike the Chevrolet Volt, this car doesn't use an ordinary piston engine to produce on-board electricity for long-range driving. Instead, it uses a jet-like turbine engine. Total range, including 68 miles on pure plug-in power, is supposed to be about 560 miles, Jaguar claims.
Those figures are likely to remain purely theoretical since Jaguar has no plans to actually produce this car.
