Heavy rain in London has apparently hindered Indonesian legislators visiting the city from going to Princess Diana's burial site.

The legislators are from House Commission III on law and they are visiting London as part of a field study on the immigration bill.

Numerous reports have said that in London, most of the legislators' schedules consisted of sightseeing, not conducting a study or doing the research needed on the immigration bill.

Ahmad Yani from the United Development Party (PPP) acknowledged Monday that part of the legislators' schedule was sightseeing around London's landmarks, but that it was scheduled only during their free time.

"We would have liked to go sightseeing, but the rain was too heavy," Yani told reporters.

Yani added that the legislators were only able to visit Big Ben and he refused to acknowledge that the legislators had toured the Burberry fashion boutique, as previously reported by various media.

"[Burberry] is very expensive," he said.
